As had already been announced by Canonical, September 27 corresponds to the release of the second beta release of Ubuntu 12.10 Quantal Quetzal. Alongside this announcement, the Canoninal also informed, via wiki, the roadmap of the new version of Ubuntu, which is Ubuntu 4.13 which final version will be available April 25, 2013.

In April Mark Shutleworth announced on their blog (here) the start (official) of the development of Ubuntu 12:10 and that it had the Quantal name Quetzal. - LightDM now has support for remote logins
