The software acquisitions by large companies related technologies are always with many eyes. It began with the purchase of Skype by Microsoft last year, and has become more pronounced in recent times.

Facebook, Google and other major companies have come to market to buy services and companies that do so in an effort to improve its service portfolio or enhance those already available.

The latest news that came was to buy the Sparrow by Google, something that nobody expected to happen....

At the site where the information available is much greater, the team's Sparrow announces the sale of the company and reveals that Google will continue to maintain the support of his client in the different versions, no new features being developed.

They also show that will begin work on a new project from Google, without revealing details.

"We will continue to make available our existing products, and we will provide support and critical updates to our users. However, as we’ll be busy with new projects at Google, we do not plan to release new features for the Sparrow apps."

On the side of Google for the information now available is very scarce. They merely confirm the purchase and enhance the qualities of the team that developed the e-mail client Sparrow.

"The Sparrow team has always put their users first by focusing on building a seamlessly simple and intuitive interface for their email client. We look forward to bringing them aboard the Gmail team, where they’ll be working on new projects."

The Sparrow has been appointed as an excellent email client to Gmail service, which is why this purchase brings great news for the future of Mac users and iOS. Unfortunately the iPhone client to be able to see their plans delayed or canceled.

It is expected that, similarly to what has been usual, Google will take place on this team and to develop a tailored e-mail client for Mac OS X and iOS, able to replace the current one and it has some shortcomings.
